Eagles’ Glenn Frey buys an estate on Kauai

451How would you like to wake up to a view like this one, my pretties? We certainly wouldn’t mind sipping some kona coffee and perusing the morning paper with that staring us in the face. That view? Is Glenn Frey’s new spot in Hana, Hawaii on Kauai. Nice.

According to Big Time Listings, singer and Eagles’ member Frey paid $7,750,000 for a six bedroom, 4,400-square-foot abode on close to 5 acres (either just under or just over, depending on where you check). It’s gated and at the end of a long road. Perfect for privacy.

The main house actually has five bedrooms and five baths. There’s a one-bedroom, one-bath cottage on the property. Perfect for a nanny or mother-in-law, no?

There’s reportedly a rock waterfall in the living room. Water features can be quite relaxing, once you get used to them. Looks like the contemporary home has a screened lanai room with a Jacuzzi if you don’t feel like running down to the beach for a quick dip in the surf.

The property also has a stream near the cottage, storage buildings, and a garage close to the beach. We guess one could store surfing and fishing equipment near the water.

Since this home was listed at $8,800,000 and Frey bought it for $7,750,000, it appears he got a nice reduction on the price.
