bahraingrandprix_start_2007.jpgIn a significant development that clearly validates the attractiveness of Gulf Holding’s signature project ‘Downtown Al-Areen,’ the company stated that it had successfully sold out two entire residential towers of Boulevard North, a key component of the development, within a mere hour of the opening of the Invest in Bahrain exhibition being held on the sidelines of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

Located within the heart of Dowtown Al-Areen, Bahrain’s first true downtown district, in the Boulevard North, both these residential towers comprise thirty, 1,2, and 3-bedroom apartments each.

Commenting on this record sale, Ahmed Al-Ameer, Vice Chairman & CEO of the Gulf Holding Company said: "The record sale of two entire residential blocks within the Boulevard North component of our Signature project Downtown Al-Areen, for $26 million almost immediately after the opening of the Invest In Bahrain exhibition, in which we are participating, is a clear vindication of the investor confidence in not just the project but also our credentials and business model.

"Such overwhelming investor response towards the project has further enthused us to surge forward and intensify our efforts for the creation of projects and investor opportunities that are not just highly differentiated but also boast the highest levels of innovation and quality," Al Ameer added.

Atkins is the main designer of the Downtown Al-Areen, which is a much-talked about emerging tourism destination in the Al-Areen Development. It is located in the heart of the world-class leisure destination. Spread over 260,000 square meters, Downtown Al-Areen is a singular mixed use model of sustainable urban development, which is expected to galvanize the tourism appeal and attract a wider range of visitors to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region.

Each component of this district has its own identity, in terms of concept and design, offering buyers a variety of options to choose from. Boulevard North, located on the north of the development, will be a vibrant hub for business, social activity and leisure. It will feature residential apartments ranging from studio to three and four-bedroom penthouses.

Boulevard South will buzz with communal activity and feature additional residential and commercial facilities. It will also offer residential units ranging in size from studio to three-bedroom penthouses. The Old Town will blend tradition and modernity. In addition to elegant eateries it will boast distinctively landscaped streets lined with mercantile stores and boutique lodgings. It will offer serviced apartments in the studio to two-bedroom category in addition to hotel rooms.

The Boardwalk, located to the west of Boulevard North, will be a purely residential community, featuring townhouses with greened semi-private courtyards. Another significant component reflecting upscale living, the High Street, will feature a commercial center and a polyclinic in addition to luxurious residential units. It has the Banyan Tree Desert Spa & Resort to its South and the Bahrain International Circuit to the North. Esplanade is a boutique-sized component situated in the western part of the development. It caters to the recreational and entertainment needs of residents boasting well laid-out modern landscaping designs. It will feature a high-profile facility for fine dining. The Linear Park of Al-Areen and the Al-Areen Wildlife Park and Reserve are both located close to this component.

A completely residential component, Park Lane boasts greenery, brilliant landscaping and tranquil environs. It will feature luxury villas, private homes and a school. It also borders the Al-Areen Wildlife Park & Reserve.
