There once was a little movie called “Moonstruck.” You may have heard of the actress who starred in it: she goes by Cher. A four-story home was featured in the film as Cher’s family home.
The home, a Federal style brownstone, takes up the corner at Cranberry and Willow in Brooklyn Heights. It was built in 1829 and is touted to have been beautifully maintained while keeping original details.
The couple who owned the home, Edward and Francesca Rullman, have been there since 1959. They originally listed the place in 2006 for $5,000,000. It recently sold for close to $4,000,000.
The buyers didn’t take the property because of its link to the movie, but rather because they loved the home and its location (10 minutes to Wall Street and 20 minutes to Mid-town). We would love a 4,160-square-foot brownstone as well. It looks like a great place with a ton of potential.
