Yes Paul has a house in Tucson, but McCartney road south of Phoenix was not named for him. Rather for an Arizona pioneer family.

Yes, that’s right; one billion bucks is some money, but by no means an “obscene” amount. Here in Canada there are about 185,000 people who have more than $1-Million, so that’s no biggie. I assume there are about 2,000 of them who have well over $1-Billion… and that’s just Canada. The U.K. probably has several thousand people who have several times (or dozens of times) McCartney’s wealth. That’s not the point though. Once you “collect” over $10-Million, it re-makes itself (so to say) and life just can’t get any better… I mean it just IS life, and there it is as it is, just enjoy it with all its nature and love and colors and such. Oh, and when you get the chance, enjoy some music, McCartney’s or other musicians’ whatever you like. Have fun and keep smiling!

Barley, I’ll agree with one thing that you said. He does have a few BILLION dollars. Well earned, I might add. But, if your’e going to dispute his wealth, that’s as far as that will go. Now, what you need to understand is he is “OBSCENELY RICH” Besides entertaining people all over the world for 50 or more years, – His music catalouge (MPL) is one of the largest privately owned catalouges in the world. Royalties come his way like you wouldn’t believe. He owns BUDDY HOLLY’S, FRANKIE VALLI’S, CARL PERKINS catalouges and lots more. All of the music to ANNIE, GREASE, CHORUS LINE, GUYS AND DOLLS, and 5000 SONGS OF OTHER ARTISTS and much more. His wealth is enormous, but he’s as down to earth as anyboy can possibly be…

Paul McCartney is not “obscenely rich,” as you put it. He has a billion dollars or so. He earned every penny of it by working his tail off. He enlightened a billion or so people on the earth. He brought joy to multiple generations of people. He wrote songs that people know by heart and sing to their spouses on their wedding days. He helped light the fuse on a cultural movement that challenged the planet to be a better place. “Obscenely” rich? A very poor choice of words for one of the greatest stories of our time. He deserves to be ten times wealthier than he is.
