3 Reasons Real Estate Videos love the Luxury Market

Why are property videos taking over the luxury market? It’s simple. Video gets remembered -

People remember only 20% of what they hear and only 30% of what they see, but an incredible 70% of what they hear and see! It’s no surprise then video has become a must have marketing tool in many online industries. Real estate is no different. Videos create a story and a stronger emotional response than pictures or text. If you want your property to shine make it the star of the show.

Video consumers take action -

Internet video viewers actually “choose” to watch your video. TV viewers are assaulted with commercials and unpredictable programming. Videos are interactive and user friendly. 50% of video viewers take some form of action after watching a video; like clicking on an advertisement or visiting a website.

International buyers love video -

International property buyers are demanding video. To save time, energy, and travel costs these buyers watch property videos. Why fly from Hong Kong to Aspen to see if you like a kitchen when you can see it come to life from your computer screen? Then, once you know you love the green carpet in the basement invest the time and money to make a visit. If catering to an affluent, international audience is your goal, video is the solution to increase visibility and highlight your tech-savvy expertise.

Real Estate Videos; Market your Property Like LOTR

Lord of the Rings_ Real Estate Video Marketing_1.jpgWho can doubt the grandeur of the Lord of the Rings? It has a sophisticated plot, lavish imagery, and unparalleled spiritual symbolism. I’m not talking about the movies. I’m talking about the book.

I must admit, everything I know about the Lord of the Ring’s literary composition is straight from a college professor. I’ve tried everything to hide the sad truth. I didn’t read the book. I watched the movies. Yup, all three of them, nine hours of fantasy adventure. Why did I do this when I could have read the book? It’s obvious. Watching video is so easy. It’s so entertaining. It saves time. It sparks emotion. It’s everything reading wishes it could be. Video has been looking for a new kingdom to captivate viewers and create media satisfaction. Ladies and gentlemen, it has found it. Today’s internet features many types of multimedia. Video is the lynch pin. Video is the best ways to present information. The Wharton School of Business showed video boosts comprehension and retention by 50% over live presentations. A study by research firm The Kelsey Group found 60% of consumers watch online video. Over 50% of those surveyed said after watching a video they took some form of action; like clicking on an advertisement or visiting a website. In the age of information overload, video sticks in viewers’ memories better than text. People remember three times more of what they see in video or images than what they read in text. To prove the point when was the last time you heard someone quote a line from a video? How about a book? Exactly. People remember video. It appeals to our emotional and social psychology.

Video and luxury property tours can be your most powerful form of promotion. Video engages more emotions and shows viewers more of what they want to see. It creates a story. It may be a story about you, your business, or your luxury real estate listing. People like stories. Pictures may be worth a thousand words, but random words don’t tell a story. The story is the human part. Videos create the story. That’s how I made it through nine hours of Lord of the Rings. I got caught up in the story. Real estate videos are the future of real estate marketing.
