2008 Monaco Yacht Show Sold-Out

monaco-yacht-show.jpgThe eighteenth Monaco Yacht Show is already sold-out seven months before the opening day. The leading companies of the luxury yachting world will return to Port Hercules for the 2008 Monaco Yacht Show, 24-27th of September.

Thanks to a spectacular repeat exhibitor rate, the show is already fully booked. International yachting industry professionals see the MYS as the world’s most prestigious super yacht show, attracting high-end professionals and wealthy clients from around the world. Five hundred exhibitors and twenty-eight thousand participants are expected for 2008.

Swiss watch manufacturer, Blanpain is once again sponsoring this year’s exhibition, along with Compagnie Monégasque de Banque, a prestigious Monegasque financial institution and a number of other prestigious international companies.

Last year’s show attracted thousands of visitors from around the globe and featured 95 superyachts in the water including more than 30 premier launches, and this year’s show should be even more spectacular. The yacht list for 2008 will be available July.

Tickets to the show sell for €60 ($90) per day, and if last year’s show is anything to go by – don’t drive. Helicopter transfers are available from Nice airport and take only 6 minutes with complementary shuttles running from the heliport to the show. The main entrance to the show is located on the Darse Sud (air conditioned tent 3 200m²) opposite the Restaurant La Rascasse.

The official website is here, but they do not seem to have realized that automatically playing music when you open a web page is one of the most annoying features one can add. Some one talk to their marketing department please.
